Tall but light: 21 mm / 3.9 g

Do you know MHT21LIGHT? A tip: It is 21 mm tall and only weighs 3.9g. This makes the new thread the lightweight alternative for owners of older bottling plants. It is even 100% compatible with standard PCO 1810 closures!

Lightweight solutions are literally in everyone’s mouth and the bottle threads are constantly becoming shorter. After all, a weight saving of 1.3g per preform quickly amounts to hundreds of thousands of euros per year for major bottlers.

However, a conversion – e.g. from PCO 1810 (5.1g / 21mm length) to PCO 1881 ISBT (3.8g / 17mm) – also means that bottling plants must be converted to be able to handle the new thread length. Here, up to 250,000 € in conversion costs are quickly incurred – money that can easily be saved using MHT21LIGHT.

And this at material savings which are almost as high as using the "classical" PCO 1881 ISBT!
